Dragon’s Crown Dwarf Builds, Combat and Skills Guide

Dragon's Crown Dwarf
The Dwarf in Dragon’s Crown is a fearless character that dishes out very high damage without the care, making him a high-risk high-reward combatant. The iconic thing about the Dwarf is his ability to pick up enemies and throw them – even the heaviest ones.

This makes him challenging but fun to play, and the rewards for the risks come in hordes of enemies falling to the sheer power of this miniature muscle-head. The downfall of playing as the Dwarf is that his legs are slow, hence being susceptible to getting surrounded by multiple enemies.

In general, the Dwarf is a risk-taking character that should only come into the fight after the initiate has been done by either the Amazon or Fighter. In team games, he’ll surely need a Sorceress behind his back to keep him healthy and ensure that he can lift and throw around the meanest of enemies.

How To Play Dwarf

The Dwarf class is a high damage dealing ‘carry’. Basically, you want to absorb as little damage as possible while at the same time dish out as much of it on enemies as you can. Consider the following highlights of the Dwarf character:

  • The Dwarf has very high attack power, making him ideal for burst damage
  • The Dwarf character has the ability to ‘nuke’ enemies; dealing a very large of lethal damage in a very short time
  • You can damage multiple enemies at once with the Dwarf
  • The Dwarf is a difficult class to play with
  • It is important to keep an eye on your health whenever attacking as the Dwarf

As you can see, a large part of playing as the Dwarf is being able to grab. Basically, you can consider the character as a ‘grappler’. Thus, the Grasp ability will become your best friend, and the rest of the abilities are closely linked to it.

Like with the Fighter, the Mega Smash is particularly useful for dealing heavy damage, but is slow in initiation, and should thus be used as a finishing move after all the grabbing has been done.

Dwarf Special Skills/Abilities

Special Skills in Dragon’s Crown are class-specific abilities with additional effects, ranging from highly damaging one-time blows to long-running passive buffs. These skills define the role and offensive/defensive attributes of the character.

All skills have a specific number of levels to which the can be leveled up. Every skill becomes stronger with leveling, but all level have requirements, such as a certain amount of skill points, a specific player level, and more.

The Dwarf’s special skills centers on his ability to grab enemies and dish out damage from aerial attacks. This makes the Dwarf a bit tough to play.

Grand Slam
Grand Slam generates a large shockwave whenever an enemy is slammed on the ground, allowing for damage to multiple enemies. Since the throw is the main attack for the Dwarf, this is a highly recommended skill. Each skill level will increase the range of the impact and the damage of the slam.

Dwarf Builds

Now that the skills of the Dwarf are covered, let’s have a look at how you can combine them to create a build. Builds will channel the character into more specialized roles and playstyle, so every player has his own way of leveling up a character. We’ll be listing some sample builds to let you understand how things are done.

Note that we won’t be covering basic and utility skills like ‘extra pockets’ in the builds.

Build #1 -Let’s Get Ready to Rumble

Skills:

  • Grand Slam – Maxed level
  • Lethal Fist – Maxed level
  • Eagle Dive – Maxed Level
  • Thor Hammer – Partially leveled
  • Frenzy– Partially leveled
  • Rock Skin – Partially leveled

This build is all about ruthlessness and getting up close. Who needs weapons when you have those big natural guns? With the help of Grand Slam and Lethal Fist, you should be doing a hell lot of damage. Eagle Dive will allow you to become a classic Undertaker wannabe, except that you’ll be taking down multiple enemies at once.

Since the Dwarf is relatively weak when it comes to defense, you want to focus on Rock Skin before taking Frenzy and Thor Hammer. Remember however, that you shouldn’t limit your character to the mentioned recommended skills only. There are plenty of skill points to spare on auxiliary skills as well. Just consider the mentioned skills as the center part of the build.

With this build, you want to combo Frenzy and Mega Smash, with will empower your Thor Hammer and Grand Slam. Keep doing this and you should get rid of any enemy in no time!
