Insomniac Games has been spotted to have filed a trademark on July 29 for something called Bad Dinos, which pertains to “entertainment services, namely, providing online video games.”
Insomniac is currently working on two projects, one of which is held very close to the hearts of fans – Sunset Overdrive for Xbox One and Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus for the PlayStation 3.
Insomniac has always been seen as a striding partner of Sony’s but the recent exclusive development for the Xbox One raised questions. Last month CEO Ted Price explained that the exclusivity of Sunset Overdrive doesn’t rule out development of PlayStation 4 titles.
“While we are excited about partnering with Microsoft on Sunset Overdrive, that doesn’t mean we can’t or wouldn’t make games with our longtime friends at Sony,” he said. “That’s the magic of being an independent developer.”
He also said that the Xbox One’s ability to update content on the fly makes the console a very attractive one for open-world shooters like Sunset Overdrive.
Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus is going to take place before the events of all the Future titles – Tools of Destruction, Quest For Booty, and A Crack in Time.
