Following a series of teasing tweets by Ken Levine, the creative director and co-founder of Irrational Games has now finally revealed the upcoming DLC packs for BioShock Infinite.
In total there are going to be three of them, which will all be covered in the game’s Season Pass. Now there’s no confirmation that this marks the end of the DLC line and most probably we’ll see more of them later on.
The first DLC is called ‘Clash in the Clouds’ featuring four challenge maps: The Ops Zeal, Duke & Dimwit Theater, Raven’s Dome and Emporia Arcade. When ready, players will be pitted against 15 waves of enemies on each map. Each wave will also contain a Blue Ribbon Challenge as an extra objective.
Clash in the Clouds will also have the Columbia Archaeological Society, an in game museum where you can unlock concept art, character models, and more. Players will also be able to find more voxophones and kinetoscopes to learn more about Columbia. This DLC is available today on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC for $5 for anyone who does not own the Season Pass.
The next two DLC packs are going to be story-based in the form of two episodes. The first one, ‘Burial at Sea’, is set in Rapture instead of Columbia and starts the night before the fall of Rapture. Players take control of Booker who on his journey will come across a much darker looking Elizabeth than the one you saw in Columbia.
The second episode will have players take control of Elizabeth herself and the whole episode is “more towards a survival horror game”. Both of the episodes will be priced at $15 each for those who haven’t purchased a Season pass. A release date was not given.
