Aeria Games have announced today a new free to play addition to the F.E.A.R franchise in the form of F.E.A.R Online. The game is being developed by the Korean company Inplay Interactive, with Aeria Games publishing it in the United States and possibly other regions, though this hasn’t been confirmed just yet.
Aeria Games are known for the various free to play titles that they’ve published in the past.
We are thrilled to present the next entry in one of the most popular horror franchises of the last decade. F.E.A.R. Online will bring back the tense, heart-pounding action that the series is known for and make it accessible to a huge online community of competitive players.
This latest instalment in the franchise will focus on multiple teams engaging in combat across a variety of maps that will ring with hallmarks of horror and the F.E.A.R series. Expect to see such gruesome details as still-twitching corpses strung up on meat hooks, and ominous messages written in blood.
The Soul King mode previously seen in F.E.A.R 3 will be making a return in this instalment. You’ll have to possess your enemies in order to discover a range of different skills and try to harvest more souls than your opponents can.
Not only that, but the events of F.E.A.R 2: Project Origin will be explored further in a series of co-operative scenarios that run parallel to the operations of Project Origin. You can team up with up to three other players and fight for your lives against the hostile forces of Armacham Technology Corporation, and the grotesque monsters that are sure to be hiding around every corner.
