Battlefield 4: Single-Player Campaign Details Revealed
Let’s be honest who really cares about the single-player campaign for Battlefield 4? I doubt things would have gone any different had DICE announced the game to include only the multiplayer portion.
In the spirit of game reveals brought forward through Comic-Con; DICE doesn’t want to sit back idly. In a new post the developer has provided some details for the campaign portion.
Players will take on the role of Sergeant Daniel Recker, a member of Tombstone squad (how original), and will travel with his squad mates to Shanghai, Singapore and Azerbaijan to defuse the enemy threat.
The campaign will include a variety of missions, including recuse operations. In one instance players will be tasked with rescuing a CIA field operative known as Laszlo W. Kovic. Kovic is the focus of an upcoming Battlefield novel that provides the backstory for the CIA operative and the larger Battlefield 4 fiction.
“As you reach Singapore you are shocked to find a horrific scene of fire and mayhem,” the game’s description reads. “The flagship is sunk and its fleet is eradicated, and from this point on nothing is certain.”
Battlefield 4 is scheduled for release this October for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. The PS4 and Xbox One versions will be released later on.
