Fantasy strategy title Age of Wonders III has been pushed back into the first quarter of 2014, community manager Jimmy van der Have announced on the game’s forums this week.
The game was initially targeted for release during fall of this year and though the game’s development has seen “great progress”; Van der Have stated that they still need “a bit more time” to finalize all of the game’s features.
“Age of Wonders III is the largest game in the series and with the additional polish we hope we can give you an even better experience,” he said.
He also revealed that the studio plans to announce a “great” pre-order deal for everyone during Gamescom next month.
Age of Wonders III is strategy game that is running on the latest iteration of Triumph studios’ Creator engine. The game itself is being co-funded by Minecraft creator Markus Perrson and the firm wants to remind everyone that “We are working our asses off so we don’t disappoint him and our other fans”.
A new release date for the game is yet to be announced but will probably be hinted at Gamescom.
