Ubisoft is releasing The Division in the second half of 2014 according to Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot, who said, “We can expect it will be closer to the end of 2014 than the beginning.”
Guillemot also confirmed that The Crew will release in the first quarter of 2014 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. What’s more, an new franchise yet to be officially announced is being delayed until the next fiscal year after this one, with a launch expected between March 2014 and March 2015.
Ubisoft’s first fiscal quarter ending June 30, 2013 reported sales of €76 million (£65m / $99m), which is better than its projections but still down 42.2 percent from its last fiscal year.
Speaking about the success of both Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag and Watch Dog at E3, Guillemot added:
“After years of investing in the technologies, expertise and production capacity required for regularly releasing open world titles and for integrating online and social innovations, Ubisoft is now ideally positioned to continue on its path of winning market share and enhancing its financial performance.”
