The Lego Movie Game Releasing Early 2014

If you read that fast enough, you must have thought a Lego Movie is coming to the next-gen consoles.

Warner Bros. Interactive ENtertainment and TT Games have announced ‘The Lego Movie’ videogame to launch in 2014 alongside the film for pretty much every platform – PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC, Wii U, 3DS and Vita.

The game will hold true to the movie’s plt; featuring Emmet, a “perfectly average” lego minifigure who is “mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world.” As a result he is tasked with ridding an evil tyrant that is wreaking havoc on the populace.

The game will allow players to build construction sets or create new objects with the power of the “Master Builders”. A separate lego instruction manual will be there for each project.

More than 90 characters will be included in the game, spanned across 15 levels.

The Lego Movie hits theaters in February 2014 so expect the game’s release in early 2014.
