Yesterday, Microsoft cut the price of its Surface RT tablet line by 30 percent, dropping approximately $150 off each of its models.
As of now, the 32GB model is $349.99; the 64GB is $449.99; the 32GB with Touch Cover is $449.99; the 64Gb with Touch Cover is $549.99.
The price cut was rumored earlier when, in March, Bloomberg reported lackluster sales for Microsoft’s RT line, which sold 1.5 million units since October.
The Verge, incidentally, reported that development on Microsoft’s smartwatch has changed hands to development on the Surface. Microsoft’s recently announced reorganization may be to blame.
