If you’re a die-hard fan of the Batman: Arkham series of videogames then obviously getting the collector’s edition of the game is an absolute must. And now that this poster for the Edition of the game has surfaced on the internet you can finally know what’s in it, and whether it’s worth it. Credits go to PSGen.fr
The main feature of the edition is clearly the 23 centimeter statue of Batman holding the Joker over the ledge of a building. This is pretty symbolic of the many times Batman has been in a position to end the Joker’s life and refrained from doing so, or it could be a reference to their first encounter.
There is also an artbook called ‘Art of Batman: Arkham Origins’ (which we presume contains concept art) and two DLC vouchers. The first DLC is the Deathstroke add-on, in which Batman gets a huge price put on his head and Slade Wilson (Deathstroke) and Deadshot come after him (among others). The Deathstroke DLC also includes new challenge maps and skins. You’ll get this content for free already if you pre-ordered the game.
The second DLC pack’s contents aren’t as clear. PS3Gen says that it consists of “additional skins.” The image on the voucher is of Batman’s face, so presumably it’s new costumes for the Dark Knight. The copy of Origins included in the Collector’s Edition comes in a 3D metal box. The game and all of the bundle’s contents are packaged in a holographic box.
Origins is in development for the Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Wii U. However, the image released today indicates that the Collector’s Edition will only be available on PS3 and Xbox 360. Oh, and it’ll cost around €99.
