Capcom Announces Street Fighter IV Overhaul
A new Street Fighter title or just plain overhauling? I would go for the latter even if Capcom’s announcement states an actual new title.
Evolution 2013, one of the largest fighting game tournaments of the year is taking place right now and Capcom’s panel at the event took advantage of the stunning 1600 participants for Super Street Fighter IV by making their announcement.
To start off; the unnamed new Street Fighter IV title will hit stores in early 2014 for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. It will feature the entire current roster; plus five new ones brought over from Street Fighter x Tekken. The new additions to the roster will be Elena, Hugo, Poison and Rolento. The final fifth character is a mystery one for now and according to Capcom has “never been in a Street Fighter game before”. He will be revealed tonight and so far speculations put it as Asura.
Capcom has stated that all existing characters “will be adjusted to level the playing field”.
Alongside the new roster changes six new stages will also be included in the pack; as well as all past DLC costumes which currently add up to around $40.
The entire game will cost $39.99 if you’re purchasing it full. For those who already own a Street Fighter IV copy and want to upgrade; they will have to pay $14.99.
Pre-ordering the game will get you additional costumes which are being made by Udon.
