The long-awaited robot and Lombax duo is all set to make a comeback in the upcoming installment told as Rachet & Clank: Into the Nexus. The game is expected to launch somewhere in this fall exclusively for Playstation 3 at a price-tag of $29.99.
There have been all sorts of rumors regarding the game that followed the teasers on Sony Playstation’s Facebook page and Twitter account, which apparently showed nothing but a purple planet and a text underneath it reading, “When Worlds Collide.”
What excites the fans most is that the game will stick to its roots in terms of game play. The previous Rachet & Clank titles were primarily focused on co-op with Rachet & Clank: All 4 One and the 2012 excursive Rachet & Clank: Full-Frontal Assault.
According to a preview on IGN, the upcoming game will feature a wide range of weapons like Nightmare Box, which is used to scare enemies and force them to attack it; the Repulsor, which will make enemies leviate; and the Winterizer, that will turn your enemies into snowmen by producing a jingly sound.
Furthermore, there are two new types of grenades that will be featured in the game.
Another highlight of the game is that players will be able to take full control of Clank during the game and send him to navigate different areas to unlock certain riddles and getting into new areas. Rachet & Clank: Into the Nexus also promises to deliver Portal-style game that will use other new items like the Grav Tether.
The game will be available both on-disc and digital download.
