PS Plus: Free Battlefield 3 this Week, Summer Discounts

This week is going to see a storm of traffic on the PlayStation Network! All the PlayStation Plus members will be able to get Battlefield 3 for free! Yes you read that right, after the latest store update Battlefield which normally sells for 40 bucks will now be downloadable for free through the Instant Game Collection.

The insanely famous first-person shooter will now be up for grabs for PS3 players with the complete single player campaign as well as the hugely successful and applauded multiplayer – this is big news!

To build up a little more on that, the offerings don’t end with just that; there are other games that will be offered for free later on, for instance, Jet Set radio (PS3), Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee HD (PS3), Metal Slug XX (PSP, Compatible on PS Vita) and Dokuro (PS Vita).

PS Plus has been hands-on with the AAA, and a lot of discounts have been seen n the recent days on various small and bigger games, but this will the first core franchise that is being offered for free –starting now!

Apart from that, the Summer Blast 2013 will bring 10 other titles at impressive discounts with the likes of Call of Duty: Black Ops II and The Amazing Spider-Man. Here’s the full list that has been made available for the Week One:

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops II – $37.79
  • The Amazing Spider-Man – $20.99
  • Batman: Arkham Asylum – $5
  • The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn’s Quest – $2.50
  • Mortal Kombat PS Vita – $5
  • Mortal Kombat PS3 – $5
  • Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands – $4
  • Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game – $2
  • Shadow of the Colossus – $5
  • Ratchet and Clank Collection – $7.50
