Under a new found partnership with mobile payment company Boku, Sony is bringing mobile billing to PlayStation owners in UK.
The new feature allows consumers to freely do purchases on the PlayStation Network with the relevant payments being done through your mobile bills. To access the said feature simply select the “mobile” option from the Sony Entertainment Network Account Management website or the PlayStation Store on your PS3.
When prompted add in your mobile number and then confirm by replying to a text you receive with the letter Y.
“We are always looking at new ways to give our customers more choice in terms of content, accessibility and payment methods, and are pleased to be able to offer the option of mobile operator billing, which are becoming more and more popular,” said vice president at Sony Network Entertainment Europe, Gordon Thornton.
The feature of mobile billing is currently only in UK and Sony has yet to reply as to when it will expand to other regions.
