Thanks to a newly announced multi-year global partnership, we’re going to be seeing some brand new Euroleague teams in the upcoming NBA title, NBA 2K14. The latest instalment in the franchise already promised a lot of new features when it was showcased at this year’s E3 during the main press shows.
This news marks the first time that Euroleague basketball teams have appeared in the entire history of the franchise. Fans of European basketball will finally be able to pit their own local teams and favourite teams against some of the biggest and most famous basketball players in the entire NBA.
The critically acclaimed series has never before had the rights to feature such teams, but thanks to this new deal you can be sure that you’ll see more of your favourite players over the next few years.
A total of fourteen Euroleague teams have been added to the roster and integrated as playable teams in NBA 2K14, and 2K games themselves are incredibly happy about this deal and the chance to spotlight more basketball teams from around the whole world. Jason Argent, the Senior Vice President of Sports Operations over at 2K games had this to say about the new partnership:
“We’re absolutely delighted to welcome top Euroleague teams into the NBA 2K series. European basketball has an incredibly passionate following, and we’re all excited to give fans the opportunity to take on Europe’s best in NBA 2K14.”
The fourteen teams that are making the roster are some of the best and brightest in Euroleague at the moment. The likes of Alba Berlin, FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, CSKA Moscow, EA7 Emporio Armani Milanio, Montepaschi Siena, Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul, Anadolu Efes Istanbul, Olympiacos Piraeus, Panathinaikos Athens, Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv, Zalgiris Kaunas, Laboral Kutxa Vitoria, are all now going to be playable in the next installment in the franchise.
