Pokemon XY Anime Announced for October in Japan

Another Pokemon anime series has been announced to be aired alongside the release of a new generation of Pokemon games later this year.

The Pokemon Company announced today that Pocket Monsters XY will go live in Japan on October 17th; with Ash returning once again. The protagonist will now travel to Lumiose City in search for more Pokemons and challenges. The town is the same one you start out at in Pokemon X and Pokemon Y’s Kalos region.

Ash’s new outfit for the Pocket Monsters XY series is very similar to what the male character Calem wears in the Pokemon X and Y games.

Currently it’s unknown as to when the anime will hit International television networks. Pokémon X and Pokémon Y, however, will launch worldwide on October 12th, localized into seven languages.
