MvC3 Player Arrested for Domestic Violence at CEO Tournament

Noel Brown, competitive Marvel vs. Capcom 3 player, was arrested by Orlando police Saturday morning and charged with domestic violence battery. The charges stem from an altercation involving his ex-girlfriend and another competitive gamer.

Brown, who was competing in the Community Effort Orlando tournament in Florida at the Wyndham Orlando Resort, caught his ex-gf and new beau together in one of the hotel’s suites at around 2 am Saturday morning.

Hours before the incident, Brown’s team was victorious in the 3v3 Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 CEO tournament, which is the final major tournament in Road to EVO, which will be held in Las Vegas this month.

According to police, Brown flew into a rage and assaulted the man, “striking him several times in the face with a closed fist” and, when the ex tried to break up the fight, he allegedly hit her hard enough to cause a bloody nose. Brown denies allegations he hit his ex, specifying that he instead had pushed her using an open palm.

According to the police report, “Noel was very apologetic and forthcoming with his verbal testimony.” Brown was then charged and taken into custody, where he remains at the Orange County sheriff’s department.

Brown has also been “released” from his commentating duties at the Video X Games 2013 Caribbean tournament.
