By   /   Jun 29, 2013

With E3 now over and the full force of what is to come in the next generation of console gaming now in front of us, the games market is heading face first into the next-gen in this coming holiday season.

With reveal and announcements of games such as The Division, Destiny, inFamous: Second Son and Titanfall most of the developers, publishers and even the console manufacturers have their eyes set on the next-generation, and all their time and effort is now fully focused on the upcoming consoles.

Some might expect this to result in fewer games released for the current generation of consoles for the foreseeable future. While this might not be true for the entire year of 2013, the month of July is particularly sparse in its offerings of games.

While the month of June was host to new IPs like Capcom’s Remember Me, Naughty Dog’s Last of Us and High Moon Studio’s Deadpool, July seems to completely focus on returning franchises like the Metal Gear Solid series, NCCA Football and Dynasty Warriors.

July is also home to a few expansion packs for 2 very prominent games of the past. Owners of Civilization V and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 can expect to dive back into those blockbusters with the upcoming release of Black Ops 2: Vengeance on 2nd July and Civilization V: Brave New World DLC on the 9th.

However, with respect to release of full new games, the month of July definitely dry with respect to quality and quantity of new titles available.

So without further ado, here are all the games being released in the month of June, broken down according to the Platforms, Release Date and Genre for each game as well as a brief description for anticipated releases.
