Volition Games is continuously trying to add more fun to the Saints Row franchise with different ideas.
The modders – both for Saints Row 2 and Saints Row: The Third have been in the scene for quite a long time now and intend on making the game more interesting by applying certain mods.
Looks like this has provided Volition – the developer behind Saints Row franchise – an idea of adding more excitement into the game as company’s director of programming, Jeff Thompson is currently working on an official game engine tools for both games.
A notorious modder of the franchise, IdolNinja has told this in a blog post that the modding tools will enable players to design and share, “new clothing, new vehicles, new guns, new NPCs, new missions, and even new world geometry which will greatly extend the life of the series and enhance the Saints Row games in ways we never even dared to dream of.”
He further added that these modding tools for Saints Row 2 and Saints Row: The Third will also serve as a mean of testing the upcoming modifications for the Saints Row 4. We’re looking forward to see the endless possibilities that these tools will bring forth.
Saints Row is an open-world action/adventure video game developed by Volition. The fourth installment in the franchise named Saints Row 4 is expected to hit the stores on August 20TH, 2013 for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Microsoft Windows.
