Developers have confirmed with Gamespot that PayDay 2, a bank heist based game, will not include any Microtransactions. It is a four player co-op game with each player picking one of three professions namely the Mastermind, Enforcer, Technician and Ghost.
The game’s design head David Goldfarb denied the presence of in-game microtransations blatantly. The in-game rewards i.e. the looted money would be used for weapon upgrades and purchase of other items that could help in the missions.
PayDay 2 is a sequel to the 2011 first-person shooter PayDay Heist that puts you in the shoes of a bank robber and his team, divided into multiple missions – 30 to be exact. Overkill Software, the developers will be focusing on overcoming the flaws in its previous version adding a greater element of stealth as well as an improved gun combat.
Previously, players would trade their bounty in return of experience that would later be used to purchase improved gear. This will be changed now and cash itself will be used for purchases like guns and other stealth related items.
An element of skill progression will be included having a hundred levels, each providing you with additional skills and perks like ability to pick locks, better weapons and so on.
The game is arriving to PS3, Xbox 360 and PC in August.
