EA is slowly but surely letting loose information for the recently announced Mirror’s Edge 2. Frank Gibeau, head of EA Labels has described the title as an “open-world action-adventure game” during a conference call today.
“We’re bringing Faith back in this open-world [emphasis added] action-adventure game,” Gibeau added.
The publisher surprised everyone during their E3 conference earlier this week by showing off a trailer for the Mirror’s Edge sequel, featuring the return of our female protagonist Faith.
She looks better than ever, and I think it has something to do with the new Frostbite 3 engine which is powering the title.
Mirror’s Edge 2 has been confirmed to be in development for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. EA wouldn’t announce a release date or even a time-frame and developer DICE, on the other hand, offered a vague statement, saying that it will be released “when it’s ready.”
