Nintendo took the opportunity today to reveal the all new Mario Kart 8 for Wii U. This news was announced and confirmed during a rather spectacular showcase for the game during the E3 Nintendo Direct presentation.
This latest title in the series offers a few new features, as well as updated graphics to really show off what the Wii U can do with a game like this.
There’s a new line-up of vehicles that allow you to traverse the completely new 3D tracks in all new ways, including through the air and upside down. You’ll be driving up walls and along ceilings, as well as making huge glider-powered jumps and diving through underwater sections, making use of all the strange, new functions of the brand new futuristic vehicles.
You’ll recognise a couple of features from Mario Kart 7 and Mario Kart Wii, but for the most part you’ll be astounded by the exotic new features.
