Gamers rejoicing after the announcement of Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III for the PS4 should know that both titles will also be releasing for the Xbox One.
Square Enix confirmed the news during E3 today, saying that both titles would be released simultaneously for both consoles.
Final Fantasy XV producer Shinji Hashimoto added that the game is built using DirectX 11, ultimately making the studio’s job easier to port the game between both platforms. The funny side of things is that the game is actually Final Fantasy Versus XIII renamed; which incidentally was repeatedly marked as an exclusive title for the PS3.
While speculations for a twin release of Final Fantasy XV was there, knowing that Kingdom Hearts III is not an exclusive title puts a severe dent into the PS4. This is going to be the first time that a Kingdom Hearts title will be released for a Microsoft platform.
