Microsoft is appararntly going to hold on to some announcements for Gamescom which takes place in August.
Speaking on Twitter, Microsoft executive Phil Spencer said that E3 is “all about games,” and that more exclusive reveals would happen at Gamescom.
E3 is just around the corner and one would expect Microsoft to come on stage with all of their guns blazing in the wake of their recent Xbox One reveal. However, the company seems pretty confident in dividing up the announcements between the two events. Either they have a ton of them or not enough announcements.
Spencer then added that they would be making a surprising announcement for the Xbox 360 as well during E3.
“Definitely have an announce that no one has guessed,” Spencer said. “Let me know after the show if it was a surprise.”
He talked about this announcement last month as well where he continuously expressed how the community would be surprised and that the Xbox 360 still has a lot of life left in it. Any takers on what he’s teasing?
During the console’s reveal Microsoft announced that the Xbox One would see to 15 exclusive titles in it’s first year, with eight of those titles being entirely new franchises.
No doubt we’ll be getting to know some of them at E3 and hopefully the remainder at Gamescom, which takes place in Cologne, Germany August 22-25.
