A new announcement by Sony, accompanied with a trailer, reveals that the company will be hosting their own live E3 webcast to cover their E3 conference. Not only that, the coverage will also include the three days following the initial conference, with plenty of games and news thrown in the mix.
Following that, the show will resume on Tuesday, June 11 at 12:00 pm Pacific, then on Wednesday, June 12 at 10:00 am and finally Thursday, June 13 at also 10:00 am.
The four days coverage will feature gameplay demos, developer interviews, reveals for upcoming games, industry news and more for the new PlayStation 4, the existing PlayStation 3 and the handheld PlayStation Vita.
As a highlight, Sony said the following:
Expect to see Beyond: Two Souls from Quantic Dream, Destiny from Bungie, DriveClub from Evolution Studios, The Evil Within from Tango GameWorks, Gran Turismo 6 from Polyphony Digital, inFAMOUS: Second Son from Sucker Punch Productions, Killzone: Shadow Fall and Killzone Mercenary from Guerrilla Games, The Last of Us from Naughty Dog, Tearaway from Media Molecule, Wolfenstein: The New Order from MachineGames and many, many more.
That’s a pretty strong lineup to beat. That said Microsoft actually stated that they’ll take everyone by surprise. We’ll know in a week whether those words hold any true meaning or not.
