Assassin’s Creed 4 Black Flag Gets a Novel and an Art Book

Ubisoft has announced two new tie-ins for its upcoming game Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag.

First of these is a novel depicting early years of Black Flag’s protagonist; Edward Kenway. The book looks to chronicle Edward’s journey to becoming a pirate as well as his relationship to the centuries old conflict between the Templars and the Assassins.

Oliver Bowen, the author of several of past Assassin’s Creed novelizations, returns to helm this project and provide fans of the series with a better look into Edward Kenway’s tale.

The Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag novel will hit shelves in UK on 7th November via Penguin Books publishing and by Ace Books in US on 26th November 2013.

The second tie-in product announced is the Official Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag art book named; The Art of Assassin’s Creed.

The book is being published by Titan Books and is expected to release on 28th October, 2013. First 500 copies of the art book come inclosed in a special slip case edition which will also include two exclusive Assassin’s Creed 4 Black Flag concept art signed by the artists.

Along with these books, Prima Games Official Assassin’s Creed 4 Black Flag strategy guide book has also been announced. The strategy guide fill feature in details of game mechanics, game secrets, multiplayer strategies as well as a map poster covering all the locations in the game.

The guide is scheduled to release in conjunction with the game itself, which is expected to hit the shelves on 29th October, 2013 for the PS3, Xbox 360 and WiiU.
