It is still unclear whether CD Projekt Red will be releasing their upcoming game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on the Xbox One or not but Managing Director Adam Badowski told Gamespot that while he couldn’t comment on the topic he assured fans they would be addressing the topic later on E3.
“We will shed more light on [The Witcher 3] during E3. I’m sorry but I can’t give you any details right now.”
Right now the game is confirmed for the PC and Playstation 4 and last month CEO Marcin Iwinski said that cross-platform development is very resource consuming and that they would have to make compromises in other parts of the game to make it. He said that ‘the experience would be so-so’ and that they would ‘never do that’.
While this should not be taken as proof that there won’t be a port of the game on Microsoft’s console, I still find it slightly worrysome. For now let’s keep our fingers crossed till E3 and hope for the best.
