Following their recent reboot of DmC: Devil May Cry, Ninja Theory will now be looking to release their first game for mobile devices.
The game is called ‘Fightback’ and if the name wasn’t a clear indicator, it’s a fighting game which draws inspiration from the ’80s movies. The brawler is free-to-play and will release in summers for iOS and Android devices.
EA’s subsidiary Chillingo will be publishing the game, which previously has published mobile titles like Angry Birds and Cut the Rope.
“Mobile and tablet gaming is a phenomenon that we just couldn’t ignore as a studio and we’re very proud to be working with one of the industry’s heavy-weights on bringing Fightback to market. Ninja Theory has always strived for the highest production values and that absolutely remains the case in this exciting new space,” said Dominic Matthews, product manager at Ninja Theory.
Fightback will get its own showing at E3 next month.
