It seems that Microsoft has released some images of what Xbox One games are going to look like on the shelf, and I have to say I was expecting a little more.
The two games that have been spotted are EA’s Battlefield 4 (which was revealed via the official site) and Forza Motorsports (which was put out by Microsoft’s own Major Nelson and the Forza Motorsports official twitter). You can check them out yourselves.
The Forza art features an orange McLaren P1 along with a green Xbox One banner and what appears to be a green case. It could just be me, but is that McLaren racing towards the Disney castle? Will we be seeing Mickey Mouse tearing up the streets in a Jaguar anytime soon? You saw it here first folks!
Jokes aside, I have to say I’m not a fan of the booger green covers. I feel they could have gone with a better choice there. And I can’t see the Blu-Ray logo anywhere on the art. Isn’t that legally supposed to be there according to the guidelines?
Forza 5 was announced on Tuesday and is exclusive to Xbox One. It’s once again in development from Turn 10 Studios, and more information is expected to be revealed at E3. Microsoft’s E3 2013 press conference will take place on Monday, June 10th at 9:30 a.m. Pacific.
