If you like using Far Cry 3’s map editor and loved playing Blood Dragon, then today’s your lucky day. Ubisoft has released the Mark IV Style Map Editor Pack, which contains every major asset from the ’90s retro envisioned game.
The pack is available for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 for free and allows players to now create maps based on Blood Dragon’s VHS theme. A release for PC is inevitable but so far there has been no sign of it. Ubisoft has kept quite and there’s no notion of it coming on Steam or uPlay any time soon.
The Far Cry 3 Map Editor is a handy tool which makes it very easy for players to create their own maps and share them with the community. You only need to own a copy of Far Cry 3 to get started.
A map editor was just one of many things which fans were anxiously hoping for. Ubisoft heard and acknowledged the request, releasing a tool which features a friendly UI and an easy process to set newbies up.
Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon was released earlier this month to pretty awesome reviews. I personally wasn’t expecting such a response. What started out as something which the dev team made up in their spare time to blow off steam, Blood Dragon ended up as a humorous and nostalgic game which I loved playing.
You can read our review here, where we gave it a mighty 9/10; deducting one point for the game being too damn short.
