Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition Officially Confirmed for PC Release in July

In a press release today, NetherRealm Studios has confirmed the long rumored Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition for release on the PC in July.

The game will be available digitally from July 3rd, while the physical edition will make its way to retailers by August 2nd.

Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition will include all released DLC for the game, including characters Kenshi, Skarlet, Rain and Freddy Krueger. Additionally buyers will also receive 15 classic skins and three classic fatalities for Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Reptile.

Scorpion’s classic fatality probably is the one where he takes off his mask and burns his enemy to ash. I’m thinking Sub-Zero’s is where he either rips out the head, along with the spine or the simple freeze and smash one. Regarding reptile, there was one where he takes off his mask and gobbles down the enemy’s head, I’d like that to be included.

The PC edition will feature achievements and leaderboard stats, as well as full support for a controller and fight stick.

Mortal Kombat was originally released back in 2011 for the consoles. The PC version is being handled by High Voltage Games, who’ve just released Zombies for iOS.
