Those of you who are fans of the deadly Assassin/Mercenary will be overjoyed to find out that you’ll be able to play as Slade Wilson (aka Deathstroke) in the upcoming Batman: Arkham Origins.
A pre-order image of the game on Amazon reveals the text, “Playable Deathstroke DLC with pre-order”. This means that you automatically get the DLC if you pre-purchase the game.
Deathstroke recently appeared in DC’s fighting game Injustice: Gods Among us, and it’s only appropriate that he appear in Arkham, given his loose connections to the Bat family (especially Robin).
We don’t know how exactly, he’ll be playable though, as it could be a split campaign type of thing like with Catwoman in Arkham City.
In related news, a surge of excitement and happiness accompanies the announcement that Kevin Conroy will be returning as the voice of the Dark Knight. Conroy was the voice of Batman in Arkham Asylum and its sequel Arkham City. He also played the character in MMO DC Universe Online, and the recently released DC brawler Injustice: Gods Among Us.
Batman: Arkham Origins tells the story of Batman’s early years in the Arkham series. It is the first game in the universe not to be developed by UK developer Rocksteady. The game is scheduled for release on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, and Wii U on October 25.
