At the 25th Anniversary festival this past weekend, the Japanese developer announced a new title in their Guilty Gear series in the form of the new Guilty Gear Xrd SIGN. They released a trailer to show off some of the characters, but there was no word on what systems the game would be released on.
Creator of the franchise, Daisuke Ishiwatari, hasn’t worked on a Guilty Gear game since the studio took a break from the games in order to focus on their BlazBlue IP. Ishiwatari will once again be returning to act as both game director and composer, bringing his usual flavour to the game.
Arc System Works haven’t worked on any Guilty Gear titles for a while as they felt that the series had become “too hardcore for some people,” and wanted to work on something that could be enjoyed by more people.
No other details have been revealed yet on Xrd SIGN, but you can be sure that as soon as any are revealed we will have more information.
