GameStop has trashed the pre-orders for Rainbow Six: Patriots igniting the rumors that the Ubisoft’s famous shooting franchise has either been cancelled completely or it is being revamped from scratch. Our take on this? We will go with the latter statement so don’t give up your hopes just yet!
OXM is currently reporting that only vendor who has stopped taking pre-orders for the game is GameStop as Amazon and UK based retailers are still taking orders for the game.
An IGN official approached Ubisoft to give his views on this and the spokesperson gave no satisfactory answer as he simply said, “We have nothing further to share about Rainbow 6: Patriots at this time.”
The last we heard from the studio boss Jade Raymond of Ubisoft Toronto was that they have already finished their portion of the game that was assigned to them. Moreover, we also had a clue that the game would also make its debut on the next-gen consoles.
Rainbow Six: Patriots is the upcoming (We have our fingers-crossed) first-person shooter developed by Ubisoft which was expected to release somewhere during 2013 on all home consoles that includes all next-gen and current-gen consoles along with Microsoft Windows.
