Panopticon Teased by Sony in a New Trailer

Sony’s Playstation Japan website recently revealed a brand new teaser trailer for their forthcoming unpublished title following an inscrutable countdown.

The early countdown that appeared on the website had the title name “Panopticon” with a clock ticking up to “1,000,000 years.” It seems legit as the trailer itself represents a setting based in future, in a dictatorial world, where persons use Identity numbers as a way recognizing one another.

There was no release date or platforms provided. However, the game “Panopticon” might give us some clues of what we can expect from its anecdotes. There can be a possibility that it is a reference to the “conceptual prison designed by English philosopher Jeremy Bentham,” which allowed a solo watch-guard to spy on convicts without them even realizing that they are being noticed.
