Creators of the popular racing franchise Grid 2, Codemasters, revealed all new gameplay of the game that includes the drift events and gives a glimpse of the Asian regions featured in the game.
“World Series Racing 3: Asia, New Frontiers” video gives players a glimpse of what to expect from the game as it features Asian cars, clubs and localities in the game. The drifting system works the same way; you earn points for driving more stylishly. Open world racing is defined by Touge racing events in Hong Kong where players take on other drivers in a one-on-one contactless battle.
And yes, it features Dubai; representing the street racers, where the speeding cars sped past those amazing highways and tall buildings in that wondrous city. Not only this; but the racing tracks of Yas Marina of Abu Dhabi are also featured in the game which has up till now witnessed a huge number of motorsport events of their highest rank.
Drift events are now available to play in three different categories; online, split-screen and career mode where the players must fight for their survival in the race on tight corners and dangerous turns. Speeding, the angle of drift, time duration of the drift and drifting around the corners add to the points of the players in the race.
Grid 2 enables players to have a different approach while handling the cars and will reward the players if they’re able to control the cars during its most unstable state during the race.
Grid 2 will hit the stores on May 28th 2013 for Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony Playstation 3 and PC and is also available for pre-orders.
