Diablo 3 production director John Hight, announced that all the profits earned from gold multiplying glitch will directly go to charity.
Hight pointed out the recent gold-multiplying glitch that spread after the Diablo 3’s 1.0.8 update that enabled users to multiply gold from bundles of 1 million to 10 million through real-money Auction House. Hight further said that all the “Legitimate Transactions” will carry out without any hindrance allowing the users who did not take any kind of leverage from this to check their money and items from sales.
He also added that only a handful of people used this for personal gain. To put it into Hight’s words, “only 415 of those players chose to use this exploit for personal gain.” Anyone found guilty of using this for personal interest had their accounts banned and reset prior to the 1.0.8. patch.
The Auction Houses that went offline are now back and the enforcement team is deleting all the replicated gold from the game’s economy which will definitely affect the servers and they might go down at some point. As of now, almost 85 percent of the replicated gold has been taken out.
