Creative Assembly has confirmed their strategy title Total War: Rome II for a release on September 3.
Alongside the a collector’s edition was also announced which will retail for $154.99 and will be in limited quantity. The pack will feature a special steelbook case, a tabula set, tesserae dice, a set of the Total War Cards: Punic Wars card game, a canvas map and an assembly kit for a 26cm x 12cm x 12cm Roman Onager siege catapult.
Pre-ordering the game from any participating retailer will net you the ‘Greek States Culture Pack’, which adds three new factions to your game at launch – Epirus, Athens and Sparta. On a side note Sega has teased that playing as Sparta will prove to be a “considerable” challenge to even the most hard-core Total War players.
Previously it was revealed that the game will receieve a free day-one DLC that will include a ninth playable faction, Pontus.
