Sony Computer Entertainment just announced its financial reports earlier today giving out the details about the sale figures of the Playstation 2 and Playstation 3 combined. According to these reports, Playstation II and Playstation III sold well over 16.5 million units during the company’s fiscal year that ended on March 2013.
Sony had predicted that they would roughly sell 16 million units of both of these consoles combined which means they are quite ahead of their target sales.
For the Playstation Portable and Playstation Vita, Sony initially predicted a sale figure of 16 million which they eventually dropped down to 7 million after revising it thrice. They were able to meet their targets in a way as the PSP and Vita sold 7 million units worldwide.
However, for the year up ahead; company is calculating to sell 5 million of units of Playstation Portable and PS Vita altogether with a well 10 million units for the Playstation 3 by March 2014. Whereas for the Playstation IV; they did not provide with any figures at all!
