A new trailer, as well as some new insights to Beyond: Two Souls were revealed this weekend during a special event held at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City.
Head of Quantic Dream David Cage revealed that the game will feature ten hours of gameplay. He also added that only 20 percent of players usually see through a game till its end, but their last title ‘Heavy Rain’ saw an astonishing 75 percent players sticking with the game to see it unfold.
Cage said that the high numbers for Heavy Rain are due to its magnificent story telling, something their studio has taken up to a higher level with new Beyond: Two Souls.
“But for Heavy Rain for example–that was really story-driven–the figure was 75 percent,” Cage said. “And so because people wanted to see the end, they wanted to know what would happen next…all this was very important.”
A new trailer titled ‘Breathe Me’ was also released at the event. It gives gamers a cinematic look into the upcoming action-drama from Quantic Dream.
Beyond: Two Souls releases on October 8th exclusively for the PlayStation 3. The game features Hollywood stars Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe. The main character Ellen journeys through the game with Aiden, trying to discover his true purpose and avoiding pursuit from various government officials at the same time.
