Metro: Last Light has gone gold, ladies and gentlemen. Publisher; Deep Silver, announced this yesterday. Those who don’t understand the term ‘gone gold’ it means that the game is completely developed and ready to be sold. This is tremendous news as the game had already gone through a rough patch in its development, when the original publisher, THQ, declared bankruptcy in December 2012. Deep Silver bought the publishing rights to the Metro franchise in January 2013.
Now, all that remains is to box the discs and ship them to stores throughout North America and Europe on 14th and 17th of May respectively. The game will be also available to purchase digitally on Steam. In fact, pre-orders for the game on Steam are open right now. If you pre-order the game, you will get a 10% discount as well as some extra goodies. You can read all about that here.
Metro: Last Light will follow events that take place in a post-apocalyptic city of Moscow in the year 2034. Mutant born abominations haunt the footsteps of the remaining alive human inhabitants of the city. Besides that, you will also have to face enemy human factions, who want to take over the tunnels the only inhabitable part of a ruined city.
