Shinji Mikami’s Return To Survival Horror, ‘The Evil Within,’ Gets A Live-Action Trailer

Shinji Mikami’s new game was revealed last week to be ‘The Evil Within’, a survival horror title dwelling in classic horror elements like limited resources and environments detailed with gore and viscera.

The game’s announcement was coupled with a live-action trailer that contained a montage of images disturbing enough to make you turn on the lights.

The trailer is now available for the public and comes from Kyle Cooper, known for his work on film and television projects, including Se7en, American Horror Story and The Walking Dead.

At one point, an old snapshot of a woman is seen who may be tied up with the game’s story. Unfortunately, Bethesda is still keeping quiet regarding the details.

The Evil Within is scheduled for a release sometime in 2014 for the PS3, Xbox 360, PC and next-gen consoles.
