Warner Bros. Montreal wants to get all the unpleasantness out of the air right away.
Its game, Batman: Arkham Origins, is the first of the Arkham titles not developed by Rocksteady, which causes trepidation among video game and batman fans. WB Montreal knows this; Hell, I’m sure it’s downright petrified of royally screwing up one of the greatest franchises of this generation.
To ease everyone’s concerns, it’s released a developer video discussing the honor of being handed this amazing franchise, as well as what WB Montreal plans to bring to the table. It all sounds excellent and in good hands.
The video discusses the reasons for bringing The Dark Knight to the early stages of his career, citing the need to have the space to tell an original story.
Everything new feature WB Montreal puts into Origins — from Batman’s arsenal to the characters — will add something of value to the game, and not just be an update for update’s sake (it claims).
Check out the video above and let us know if it eases any concerns you may’ve had about Origins. Batman: Arkham Origins comes to the Wii U, Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC October 25, 2013.
