Firefall Open Beta Begins in July

In July, we will all finally get to try Firefall out for ourselves and see what the enigmatic MMO-esque game is all about. Red 5 Studios are opening Firefall‘s beta to Open Beta status as of July 9th, which will be a true test of what the open-world, territorial gameplay is like with more players than ever before.

Firefall has been under heavy promotion for quite some time, with Red 5 Studios always striving to vie us something that we can look forward to. Best of all, they’ve been highly responsive to community feedback, allowing them to create something that the players can enjoy as much as possible. The territory capturing gameplay in a persistent online world looks to be incredibly captivating, and bringing more players into that dynamic can only improve things.

James Macauley, Vice President of Development at Red 5 Studios had a lot of love for the game.

“We’re incredibly excited to be nearing what we consider to be the most important stage of Firefall’s development – Open Beta,”

“For us, Open Beta isn’t a traditional ‘marketing beta’, but rather an opportunity to include many more players in our community-driven development process. We’re looking forward to welcoming these new players into the community and continuing to build an amazing game together.”

There’s a lot of enthusiasm for Firefall on both sides of the fence, with the avid fan-base growing more and more every day. I know I can’t wait until July 9th now.
