NetherRealm Studios have revealed the first DLC character for their Injustice: Gods Among Us brawler to be Lobo. Following him will be three more downloadable fighters, who currently are unnamed.
The news though doesn’t come as a surprise. Last month creative director Ed Boon teased the anti-hero by tweeting a picture of a comic that featured Lobo.
In DC Comics, Lobo is portrayed as a bounty hunter and gun for hire. His most notable abilities are his immense healing powers, superhuman strength and sense of smell.
Injustice’s DLC Season Pass has been previously confirmed to be priced at £11.99 and 1200 Microsoft Points on the PS3 and Xbox 360 respectively. Buyers will be able to get all four DLC fighters for the price of three and get an exclusive access to the Flash Point Skin Pack featuring alternate costumes for Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Deathstroke.
If anyone recalls, some of the DLC characters for Mortal Kombat 2011 were already present on disc. It didn’t take long for hackers to dig them up and start posting gameplay videos on the web. Unless NetherRealm have learned better, we just might experience a healthy dose of déjà vu.
Injustice: Gods Among Us releases today in the US for all major platforms, while those in Europe will have to wait until Friday. The Wii U version of the game has been announced to be delayed by a week in the UK.
