Earlier we reported that Russian hackers had found a way to download free games from Ubisoft’s Uplay service, even those games which were not currently available to the public.
Now, Ubisoft has disabled Uplay’s downloading service. They released this statement to Game Informer:
We are aware of the issue and are working to resolve it quickly. No personal information was compromised. Uplay’s PC download service will be unavailable until the problem is fixed, however all other Uplay services remain available
Keep in mind that a Ubisoft official has confirmed that the private information of people who use Uplay had not been compromised.
Yesterday, we reported about the leaked footage of Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, an unannounced Ubisoft game. Well, at least now we know how that footage got leaked. Furthermore, the game is currently available at all torrent sites.
