Owners of Wii U can finally rejoice because Nintendo has confirmed Splinter Cell: Blacklist to be heading for their new console.
According to the announcement, Tom Clancy’s new title will hit the Wii U on August 22, the same date as is for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC versions.
As is evident from the image released, players will be able to take advantage of the GamePad to control the Snake Camera, a miniature device used for peering through keyholes. The touchscreen can also be used to access your inventory.
The Wii U version of the game has long been rumored, ever since it appeared in a GameStop ad last October. Though developer Ubisoft took its sweet time in confirming the title, it always seemed likely that we would get to see the stealth game on the Wii U. Ubisoft has been a strong supporter of the console. Wii U’s launch lineup of games contained a long list of their titles, including the well received ZombiU.
