New PS Vita Update adds Folder Support for Apps

Sony has heard your cries and has started rolling out a firmware update for the PS Vita. The update is version 2.10, and includes folders as the most notable addition. With folders, users can manage their application icons into folders similar to iOS’, allowing a maximum of 100 application icons (including the folders) on the home screen.

  • Other changes introduced by 2.10 include:
  • The ability to differentiate between PS Vita cards in the home screen info bar.
  • Save the layout of home screen icons.
  • Video support within the browser (memory card needed).
  • View HTML messages in email.
  • Add multiple email addresses to contacts.
  • New search feature for messages
  • Update PlayStation Mobile format software and game save date to online storage for PS Plus members.
  • Mute automatically option when unplugging headphones in the music app.
