Come August 6th, Tales of Xillia will be released for the PlayStation 3 throughout North America; Namco Bandai confirmed during a media event yesterday.
The RPG was first released in Japan in late 2011 and follows protagonists Jude and Milla, who are faced with ongoing conflict in the world of Liese Maxia.
In related news, series producer Hideo Baba said that the possibility of having Vita remakes Tales of Innocence R and Tales of Hearts R overseas are slim. Baba reasoned with Kotaku that it was because of Vita’s relative poor progress in North America.
Unfortunately, at this present time we don’t have any plans to release any of the Vita titles. One of the main reasons is, unfortunately the PlayStation Vita is doing relatively poorly in North America, so it’s one of those things that if the numbers increased considerably, then it’s something we could consider.
