We recently reported that Disney had closed down the ‘Lucas Arts’ studio. Sadly, we have news of another studio shutting down.
However, this time around it was not Disney who pulled the plug on one of its studios but Sega who has done this dreadful deed.
Sega has confirmed to Kotaku that it will be shutting down its Australian studio. Previously known as Creative Assembly Australia, the studio was responsible for games like Medieval II: Total War and Stormsrise. According to Sega, the studio will cease its activities sometime later this year.
Apparently Sega gave no reason as to why they are shutting down its Australian studios.
Keep in mind this is the latest studio that Sega has shut down recently. In June of last year, Sega shut down its studios in France, Germany, Spain, Australia and Benelux.
